2011 Christmas Ornaments

The first year my parents were married they didn't have a single Christmas thing. They had to borrow a tree right down to the ornaments to go on it. They decided then and there to buy a new ornament each year for their children so that even if they had to borrow a Christmas tree they would at least have their very own ornaments to put on it. They gave us our box of ornaments the first Christmas we are married. This is a tradition that I am now passing down to my children. I love getting out the ornaments and putting them up one by one and reflecting on my childhood memories. My kids love it now too.
Olivia chose a Penguin with some fun silver and white little balls inside...the balls have already been dumped all over the floor!
Nathan choose a helicopter with Santa in it. His original choice was
an airplane...which he then proceeded to smash on the floor during a fit of rage while
at the store...I hate paying for things my children break!
Emma chose a glass angel. It's very large but very pretty.
Maddie chose a female turtle complete with a hat and high heels...what else says Christmas to an animal lover!

Emma lost her first tooth!

A proud moment in every child's life...their first missing tooth! Emma has been wanting to start pulling her teeth ever since Maddie lost her first one two years ago. Today, her wish came true. She was very brave and didn't cry at all. Unfortunately she has the same problem as her mother-over crowding. Her new tooth is coming in to far back and there is no room for it to come up. I have a feeling she's going to have many teeth pulled in a painful way. But for now let's just enjoy the excitement of losing her first tooth. She was so excited to put her tooth under her pillow and wake up to a dollar left from the tooth fairy. Ah the joys of being a kid!
